PROJECT NAME

Feasibility of Stinging Nettle Propagation for Oregon Forestsnail Habitat

CLIENT

National Wetland Conservation Fund

DURATION

2 years

Stinging nettle is considered an obligate habitat requirement for the SARA red-listed species Oregon forestsnail. As part of a larger project, we grew stinging nettle in the greenhouse and transplanted them at two growth sizes in the fall. We monitored growth and survival in the Spring.
