Often forage abundance and rangeland/grassland health go hand-in-hand. Our grasslands are considered an ecological hotspot, housing more than 25% of the Province’s rare and endangered species, yet representing less than 1% of the Province’s area.

Assessing range health involves a deep understanding of native plant communities, in particular grasses, and the effect of disturbance on these communities. Range health is woven into so many of the project we do in the Interior of British Columbia; in particular when invasive species, fire, grazing, and recreation are at the forefront of management issues.
